I dunno. This guy/gal is asking:
Survey
Personally I am unsure. I have definitely had bags from some brands I like more than other brands. Even year to year they change. I quite liked Best 2016 bags, but 2017 sucked. The North 2018 bags as so-so. Ozone bags are a little simple, but they work.
Still have yet to find zippers that don't eventually rust.

My 2019 Naish Pivots bags are awful. They are way too small, have the same poorly designed stress points on the zippers as North bags and the bar holder is down right horrendous. Sorry Naish..love the kites but the bag needs an extreme makeover..
Ocean Rodeo are very good IMO..

They're best when they fit 2 to 3 kites. Then you don't have to mess around with multiple bags.

2012 Best TS bag is great, it's big enough to fit other stuff too. Most of the kite bags are way too small to fit the kite only, why they couldn't be just a little bit larger..

Best Bags 2013, 2014, 2015 ( I don't know about 2012) were great. Stuff sack for lightweight transportation of individual kites - a "backpack" bag that opened all the way around & was big enough to carry 2 or 3 kites plus bars, pump. Those bags are still going strong 5 years later. Other bags I have had - Naish & Liquid Force - were ridiculous: heavy, small & hard to get even a single kite in.
All kites should just come in a simple, lightweight stuff sack. A large, strong duffle-type bag should be an additional option - don't need several of them, just one large enough to fit all the gear you want to carry to the beach. It ain't rocket science.

Yes the bags of Best were great till 2017, strong, big and special room for bar and pump, from 2018 they suck.
I now own Duotone Rebels and before that north, not bad but certainly not as strong as the best ones.
P.S. every Best kite now comes without bag and there are more kite brands that do not deliver bags included.

Best had the best bags with the lightweight sock. Those bags would last.
Agree, you don’t need multiple kite bags, that lightweight sock for each is the way to go and one good bag to carry them.
IF you travel on a plane, weight and bulk of bags is an issue.
Never mind the cost of the bag.
In like using the mystic kite protector bag where you roll up the kite.
And zippers, why not just build a rucksack with a top flap and no zippers?
