As per title. How to best control landing on high jump. Sometimes land hard or soft but never feel properly in control

Pull in on bar as you approach the landing.
In theory sound easy, but it takes a whole lot of practice, pull to hard you go off the board. To little you slam the board...
The higher you go the harder it gets to time this...

It's really the same technique as strapped, you just sheet out on the way down and then sheet in before you hit the water. Downloop if you need it to be softer. The main issue is keeping the board on your feet as you do that so you'll want a light strapless board and higher winds, keep that nose up and in to the wind.
