Dumb question... If a 65g/m2 Aluula fabric is x10 times stronger than the current 150g/m2 Dacron, why don't make the Aluula even lighter?

Hi, I’m looking for data sheets of Dacron and D2 ripstop and quadtex by Naish.
Do you guys have any info? It would be cool to make a serious comparison with some detailed info.
Thank you in advance!

It's not punctureproof.

Ocean Rodeo did have a lighter Aluula there. It was gold colored. There was an all blue Prodigy with a gold leading edge flying around.

Here are approximate weights of the 2019 and 2020 kites (not Aluula) showing how the 3 strut Flites weight about the same as other brands 1 strut kites:

2019 Razor 10 3.2 kg/ 7.05 lb 2020 Razor 10 3.12 kg/ 6.9 lb
2019 Prodigy 9.5 3.05 kg/ 6.72 lb 2020 Prodigy 9.5 2.92 kg/ 6.4 lb
2019 Roam 10 3.28 kg/ 7.23 lb 2020 Roam 10 2.88 kg/ 6.35 lb
2019 Flite 12 3.27 kg/ 7.2 lb 2020 Flite 12 2.96 kg/ 6.5 lb

Enduro V2 12m 3.08 kg / 6.8 lb
Enduro V2 10m 2.70 kg / 6.0 lb
Enduro V2 8m 2.51 kg / 5.5 lb
Enduro V2 6m 2.18 kg / 4.8 lb

Hope flysurfer buy some. A soul/aluula hybrid would be an awesome kite.

Is it fully recyclable material?

No offense but those weights are not about the same as one strut kites...an airush ultra 12m is 2.8 kg. That's a pound lighter than a 2019 flite and I'm sure next years ultras will even lighter.

Depends on brand of one strut and year of Flite.
My 2017 12m Flite is 3.04 kg which is significantly lighter than LF Solo 12m and the same as Mono (if they made a 12m)
2020 sounds like a great year for OR weight wise but not sure why they decided to drop the 10m and 8m Flite from the line.

Interesting about the even-lighter “gold” color aluula...
A little foreshadowing of 2021 perhaps.
People have said why not make it even lighter if its so strong? maybe leaving room to do just that in subsequent years...
