Doesn’t seem to hold its shape in the air very well?

IMHO, watch the portions of the video more. I see a very rigid leading edge and struts and just the canopy materiel fluctuating because the rider is going almost direct into the wind, he is riding in offshore wind. look at the Fone kites in the video, the Fone kite are doing the same thing but also their leading edge and struts are flexing too.

For stronger winds and wave riding seems as its to light, as plastic bag don't makes steady balance for rider. Seems as to sensative for wave riding. But of course big priority is keeping in the air on big line slacks.

Here is some more footage, Aluula in action.
Nice kick flip at the start, I bet you needed at least 20 attempts to land that one :-) Amazed this is the first time you have used or seen a kite drift like that, welcome to 2008 and even earlier... I suggest you now learn to ride waves down wind and luff and slack line the kite, you are in for a treat if you do.

Foilholio, REECE MYERSCOUGH is on the GKA surf/freestyle pro tour. 2008 kites suck compared to a modern wave kite for drifting. Yes 2008 kites still get the job done bla bla bla bla.

A as in one 2008 kite does not suck compared to most kites and is infact better than most including current models. Even earlier kites could drift quite well. The Peak 4 is meant to be the current best drifter, have you tried it?

You should go learn to read. As to drift I have never seen it done in a video as I do. It would be quite easy if they(the pros) tried and the kites were capable.

When I see a pro or anyone slack line a kite for 30 seconds let a lone 10 seconds my expressions will be satisfied. I don't blame it on the pros, after all they are given such shit free kites.

On the subject of this kite it looks quite good. Reacts fast, especially to drifting back, must be the low weight. Would be good though to see a real slack line test. Standing in 10-15knots kite direct over head, pull in 10m of the front lines and let go. Maybe then push it till it fails, maybe on waves so we can know it's limit? What about opposite flying? have you seen that from your pros? No? Amazing people, shit gear. Well opposite flying is when you fly the kite in a direction opposite to the wind. As in you fly the kite upwind of you. Gear/Ingrediants you will need - skill, a light kite, light wind, hydrofoil and a wave that will push you way past 0 for the apparent wind into NEGATIVE WIND land. LoL spin on that one.

Kind of like a Deadman's turn on land with a 3-wheel buggie ? Never seen it on water, maybe riding a foil ??

Wait a minute, have faint recollections of a foiler + big foil kite doing a Deadans' on a nearly calm lake, maybe in Italy, Lake Como ? ?? For real or was I dreaming ?
