My gut feeling is that the stiffness of the leading edge material is more important in a wing than a kite.

My thinking is that a kite has multiple bridle attachment points along the leading edge to help support the required curved leading edge shape... this makes it difficult for the leading edge to bend too much on a kite compared to how much a wing bends.

In contrast a wing's shape and canopy tension has no support other than the stiffness provided by the leading edge. My understanding is that an Aluula leading edge will be stiffer than Dacron for a given diameter/pressure which can only be a big benefit, especially for wings.

What are most people experiencing for wait time once you have ordered? Is it shorter for Roam or Flite?

So far in the uk, waiting 2 months for 8m roam, shop has been told production of the flite had priority which they have a confirmed delivery date, no date for the roams at present.

We've got every size of both models in stock so I don't know why anyone is still waiting for one model or size for.

Would it be a uk issue? Maybe too small a market?

I bought a Flite 12m. I first flew it on a high v bar and I did not like it at all. So, I flew it on a low v bar a couple times. As advertised, the kite flies in very little wind. The LE is stiff and it is a stable kite. However, the kite does not fly great at the upper end of the wind range. I like to ride powered up and I was hoping that this would be a kite that I could fly in 25 to 30 knots for big air and use to foil in 10 to 15 knots. The former is definitely possible, but no fun. The latter is doable.

I would love to see OR or another kite company come out with an Aluula kite that is designed for big air. I sold my Flite and I will wait for a kite style that better fits my riding style.

That hasn't been my experience on the Aluula 12m Flite at all. I think it excels in high wind.

Same for me. I rode my 12m FLite Aluula on a day where most people were on 9m, without any problems. It sure jumped well!

I did not say that it did not jump well. I had some decent jumps in the upper wind range. Let me clarify, the wind here is pretty gusty in the 25 to 30 knot range. The 12m Flite felt like a handful compared to other kites. I could feel every gust & spike - not much fun. I am sure that the Flite would do much better in a bit smoother winds.
