Seeing as this material likely has no implication to foil kite design and is primarily an advance to LEI's, Looping is very much an important aspect of low wind starts.

Aluula hype is for real!! I was looping that 14.5 ocean rodeo flite like it was a 10 meter. Insane! If you are a fatty that can't megaloop because your kite is too big to finish the loop in 25 knots and you're too scared to loop the 14.5 in 40 knots this aluula is like the answer to a prayer you never knew you made. The loops are absolutely insane the most fun I've had with a kite for years! What a blast. Is this going to replace my 19m foil kite for hydrofoiling of course not it's even better than that it's a brand new market niche. It's hard to explain how it feels when that 14.5 completes a loop is like magic. So many possibilities open up with this kite. Double looping a 9m aluula kite boosting with your foil triple looping I dunno the hype is real boys. The hard choice tho is do you buy a soul 12 or ocean rodeo 14.5 they will be at the same price point.

This kite is genius. Like most things in life genius isn't about figuring hard stuff but working hard at making simple things come to life. What a great day in Grand Haven kogl had been cursed for years too much wind not enough storms skunked the most perfect day in ten years I rode for 8 hours switching kites boards every 25 minutes the aluula is the only one I went back to even after a demoed once because it's such a joy to ride.

I guess this kite was made for light wind but the real possibilities of this kite only show up when you loop it. I got no opinion on the material etc just how it handles that's most important to me. I rode that kite hard and it didn't explode so it can't be that fragile.
Can I have the name of your Doctor and the meds I should be asking for ? Is it hydrofacetous ? Or tongueincheekcodone?

@grigorib: I don't foil so maybe I'm wrong but I think 5 knots are really difficult to kite, no matter which kite you're using. The problem is that the wind is rarely steady, so if 5 knots means e.g. 5 to 7/8 maybe a big foil kite like my FS Speed 5 21 can do the magic, but if 5 knots means 5/6 or less, it's better to stay on the beach unless you like to swim…

5 knots is a good foiling challenge. I think it’s rideable once you start moving and catch apparent wind, and as you said it can turn into swim session easily.

My point was that both 14.5m Aluula Flite and 15m Slingshot kite were flown at same 5 knots. Both had to be looped when coming to 10 or 2 o’clock and I didn’t see any difference in performance.

Needless to say - both new models are very exciting and will deliver some major joy to riders

When wind is that low all it takes is one botched transition and you're swimming because if you lose your apparent wind that's it.

Seems like the plan is moving forward.
I’m really surprised we have not heard about other brands coming up with a product matching the aluula material. After flying an aluula Roam, i know I’ll get a 10m aluula kite next season... but would have prefered to stick with my Neo :D

From latest OR news Letter:
The results are in...
Our first BLACK series Roam and Flite kites featuring the new Aluula material have now been tested around the globe, with demos in Sylt Germany, Seattle USA, Tarifa Spain, Hood River USA, Ottawa Canada and St Peter-Ording in Germany.

We sent the BLACK kites out to test in the world’s top kite locations, from the blistering heat and sand-blasted beaches of the Western Sahara, to the biting cold back here in Canada. This exposure to a wide range of conditions including weather, temperature, wind levels and water states, as well as a varied spectrum of riding styles, has seen them put through the ultimate in ‘real world’ testing!

On top of that, kites featuring the Aluula airframe have been in use in competition, by our team riders on the GKA World Tour.

We have now taken all the valuable data and rider feedback that has been gleaned from this broad journey and are excited to move forward with our first production BLACK kites for our demo centres across the world, followed by the full retail availability of the Roam and Flite BLACK in all sizes, from spring 2020
