In the comment with the video, is the chap hinting that this kite will fly when foil kites won’t? I just can’t see this being the case.

Impressive kites, this is the 14.5m that kitepassion let me demo. Reverse launched in shallow water in a pixie fart worth of wind.

That reverse relaunch clip speaks for itself.

Same day playing around with stalling. Not enough wind to get on the foil but could get my feet on the board and start a water start. Just not enough power to get up. The frame of these kites are very rigid.. the kite still twists for turning but doesnt flex like a jellyfish. Very light..

finally got to try a friend's Flite Aluula (FA) 14.5 . I was on my Ozone Alpha 12 for comparison, and foiling. So the FA felt lighter than my kite on the beach. In the air, it was really light as well, and really low bar pressure. it just sort of floats around up there. It is NOT a fast turning kite. It turns like a...14.5. My Alpha, which i consider to be a slow turning kite, turns faster. But i'm comparing a 12 to a 14.5 here. For me, this was a bit disappointing as so many have said these Aluula's turn faster. i didn't notice that. While foiling, the FA felt really good in the air. kind of spongey, which i like. Back when i had a 13m Contra, that kite would easily overpower me while foiling in gusts, but the FA just let me know it was there a little more during the gusts. and during transitions, you can just put it overhead and turn under it as it floated there. For such a big kite, it felt unusually manageable.

i was only on it for about 10 minutes, so that's about all i can say. I liked the kite and thought it superior to other big kites i've used for foiling. Personally, i would never again get a kite bigger than a 12, and would like to try the FA 12 for a true apples-apples comparison.

Any privately owned aluula kites out there yet? Can you order sizes other than the Flite in 14.5m and the Roam in 10m ?

I want to see a real world reverse launch. In deep water, in 8-10 knots, while holding on to a foil, both with and without water pooling behind the leading edge bladder.
