Someone should come up with ONE STRUT kite made 100% with aluula. Rigid frame, and kite that weighs nothing. That would be sick.

Totally agree. For my local mountain lake a 12m would be perfect as it is often 7 - 18 knots.Someone should come up with ONE STRUT kite made 100% with aluula. Rigid frame, and kite that weighs nothing. That would be sick.
I am still surprised how crappy the kite bags often are. I don't even think its cost related its feels like an afterthought that no manufacturer cares about.iriejohn wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 10:47 amMy 14.5m Flite Aluula came in an extremely small bag - in the above video they look a lot larger!
After flying the kite I decided that I didn't want to attempt to repack it the same way it came, so after loosely rolling and folding it without kinking the bladders it fitted nicely into an old Ozone Reo 10m bag.
It wasn't a "crappy kite bag", it was just very very small. As I said above, the bags in the video do look much larger.leeuwen wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 11:42 amI am still surprised how crappy the kite bags often are. Please make something without zippers (sand and, even worse, possibility to get rip the canopy ), with an option to properly attach a twintip, bar & pump (for people having a long walk to the beach) and that is not ridiculously small so only the factory can get the kite in.
It's funny because I watched this video lately and one thing that Jeff Howard rfeally liked about the new SlingShot UFO was that the bag is really really really small (but of course it's a strutless kite .
The roam bag I got has all those features. Nice pump attachment. Large side pocket for the bar. Straps for a board.... the cloth is just extremely light which is good for travelling. Not sure how it will hold over time...I am still surprised how crappy the kite bags often are. I don't even think its cost related its feels like an afterthought that no manufacturer cares about.
