Modern QR (push-in reassembly, modular chicken-loops), arguably best lines on the market & clean design (no shit dangling around)... yeah quite disappointing
Meaning they are at par with competition...nothing special in my view...Lines are probably good but curious what price they are charging
What did you guys expect they would bring in just 12 months?!
Design (from scratch), material selection, prototyping, testing, tweaking, production...
It took B&M couple of years development and testing of the Click bar and still there were issues to be addressed in the second edition.
Had new North come up with anything radically new, you would have been the very first to loudly question whether this had been properly tested and proven reliable. And you would've been right.
As for their bar 'at par with competition' - they seem to have taken only 'the best of' and it comes at a fair price imo (if the prices quoted above are correct).
How many large brands use SK99 as their standard lines? Core... not really.
How many large brands have decent quality lines - Cabrinha, Ozone, Core... anyone else?
Push-in reassembly - Ozone. A local Kiwi deal on the IP I guess
Twin-bore PU tube - Cabrinha, Duotone and few others.
Modular CL - Duotone, Slingshot...
Neat trim cleat with a really good looking handle - noone I can think of.
I look forward to seeing what new tech & design they may bring to the industry and sport next year. And if they don't, I will be TRUEly disappointed.
