OBX looking Good

Postby beebad » Thu Jul 18, 2019 7:10 am

The conditions here in the OBX are very good for the next few days. I am in my popup camper right now at 2 in the morning watching this thing shudder with every gust. I am glad I strapped this thing to the sun shelter....The water is really warm and the wind is steady.....

A good time to make the drive for some great conditions!

Heading out tomorrow for a few days, sleeping in my van. Should be great for various soundside or oceanside downwinders. The only one I have not done is Ocracoke Village to Hatteras Landing soundside, so I'll try to do that. Also dreaming of foiling upwind to Portsmouth Island from Ocracoke Village.

Hey if it's not too much to ask, could one of you guys snap a pic of the Rodanthe Jug Handle bridge progress?
More curiosity at this point, but if it's not too far along I would be tempted to come down.

Thanks!

They started on the northern part of it. I did not go in and check the southern part, but did not seem like much progress from highway 12

Today was great and the next three look good too. I’m looking for company for downwinders if anyone else is interested. My favorite is from Waves to Oregon Inlet, although not quite as radically as Sam Light here
