WinGsurfing; surfplan help

14 year ago I sew my own 12m2 kite with the help of Surfplan and this forum. The kite was OK, but I ended up buying a real kite.

Now I feel the need to create something again, and this time I want a «wing kite» similar to Slingwing and Naish Wingsurfer.

Since it’s been 14 years since the last time I used Surfplan, does anyone have input as to how I can manipulate the inputs to create something similar to the mentioned kite-wings?

Make a simple model like this and then modify manually center seam to have typical wing shape. This is because SP can't produce models with dihedral canopy curve AFAIK.

In the middle of the wing there can be a boom or a strut with straps etc.

Hello Wingstu.
Not sure which version you are using. Select the canopy shape menu and choose detailed / change. Input negative values for dihedral.
Cheers!

A boom would lead to less sewing, so will definately consider it.

:thumb: I've never had to design dihedral wings so this option I didn't know. Thanks for correction/advice. So no need for manual work.

Wing itself is quite simple thing, it is small and don't need many parts. So it should be relatively easy project to design and make. Struts are thick for stiffness.
