Algarve or Tarifa in October?

I have two places to choose from to stay for kitesurfing in the first week of October.
I'm a beginner with some experience.
Shall I go to Tarifa or Algarve?

Tarifa is nearly always a safe bet. In october its not so crowded, and you can kite a lot of places which is not allowed in summer.
Have not been to Algarve yet, but think wind there is thermal like most of Portugal so probably not so good in fall.
If you can afford it, book the travel in last minute when you see the forecast.
