Kite underinflated and obviously the rider is an incompetent beginner (or worse)
Is it a coincidence that it's the same kite that was mini deathlooped and hot launched in the other video? I think not...
I agree looks like this guy doesn't know what he is doing. A little pull on the front line when the trailing edge was down and that puppy would have relaunched right away!

No pulleys...

with no loaded fifth

equals unstable kite at top end where you want to take a big jumping 5 strut non C kite beast.

such a shame, the holy grail of non pulleyed kites bullsh1t.

Thought we'd been through this...then north go and do it again. weird.

..the only kite that can is the ozone edge, but even that becomes a handful sooner than most.

related to the pulleys...
look at the product clip of the doutone dice, the designer says he removed the pulley because it was causing instability when looping on the height end of the wind range

pulleys just suck

Lasse was complaining that the dice was deforming or had a tendency to do so in extremely overpowered conditions. That is not the top end of the windrange or a bit above what it says in the manual, we are talking megaloop challenge conditions with 50 to 60 knots on an 8 or 9m kite.

Is it just me or does it look like the wingtips are fluttering at the 16 second mark?

I find it interesting that so many big brands has gone pulleyless lately. I have experienced both types and while I enjoy the direct feel of pulleyless bridle, it comes with few downsides. I have experienced narrower sweet spot & wind range, looser back lines (and worse turning) and more canopy flutter while depowered or bar sheeted out.

I don't know if it's the increased canopy flutter, just bad design or both, but I have noticed that some of the kites I've used really have lost some of their flying-performance in relatively short period of time (6months-1year). Don't know exactly how to describe it, but they have turned a bit saggy and imprecise compared to new ones. This has happened especially to those light-weight kites with no heavy dacron support around the kite’s canopy.

Would be interesting to test these kites out and see if they have found fix to those issues.

Regardless of how they actually fly:
I find it interesting that list prices are similar to core (checked 12m orbit vs xr6 = both 1679 euro)
Where core used to be considered pretty expensive.
For basically a new company that has a unproven kite track record and a whole new line up of unproven kites I would have expected a slightly more aggressive price point.

By the way a Duotone Rebel is even more expensive list price (1759 for the 12m)

This can't be emphasised enough. Imagine if Best or Switch released a brand new, first version kite at that price. We'd think they were crazy. How about a non-established company with ZERO kites on the market?!

Let's just wait and see :) shops and mags are going to say the kites are good - they want to sell premium brand kit (with all that lovely profit) ...

For me personally, I was expecting a new crossbow, tried an tested with a new North logo slapped on it. Fine. I can see the logic of that. Add in a rebranded FX and 75% of the kiters would be satisfied that North was doing something sensible. But all new kite designs? Seems like a huge gamble to me.
