I simply use two stainless steel rings. One will do, but two give better slide. Just got them at a marine supply shop.
Have looked at buying the low friction rings....pretty pricey. Probably smoother though. I used an aluminum low friction block for a while, which worked better than the rings, but it wore down rather quickly.

Hi,
I’ve been using a low friction ring and works perfectly. It costs around 15/20 euro but definitely worth the money
Chicken loop goes around the ring, not inside.

Has anyone tried that slingshot Talon on a North/Duotone bar? Are the ropes the correct diameter to fit it? edit: or is that picture very misleading - is it just the metal bit for 30usd or the whole mechanism?

Complete release. Extremely solid.
Rope is not something I would worry about.

If you buy the right ring, chicken loop sits in very nicely.
Right now I’m using a modified ball of the fireball and it works great!

Couldn't the chicken loop slide off the ring if your lines go slack?
