Whether it is or is not too much depends upon the performance parameters and objective of the air frame design.

Just saying.

Is this opinion or fact?

If fact, then what are the facts?

fact... the Orbit 12m needs 6, 9m 7, etc..

if you put 10 psi in the 12m the relaunch in lightwind gets worse. if you want to discuss with me, get your hands on first on the north stuff.

just tested the 9m Carve with click bar (heu also North but not the same North if you can follow)

LE is very big. I mean very big.
the kite looks good and sober.

It was around 18-22 knots which was the low-end for me @120kg on my surfboard. Dead on-shore.
So not the ideal conditions to test a wave kite but:
- the low-end is OK (same as Slash 9m I also tested)
- bar pressure is VERY light which I like a lot (that is why I hate the Neo...). Lowerthenb theSlash wicks also very light.
- the kite works perfectly with the click bar I must day (better then with f*****g Neo)
- kite feels very light in general if you know what I mean, not only the bar pressure but the overall feeling)
- turns fast but doesn't generate pull in the turns
- drift is OK for what I could test (did some downwind on wave to see how it drifted)

I did feel once (only once) the bar shaking a bit like mentioned earlier in this post

All in all a very nice feeling kite if you like light bar pressure

Need to test the upper range in some side shore conditions

Is it just me or what do you guys think...

For all the hype they generated the release of the first product line-up of the „new north Kiteboarding“ seems a bit like a crash-landing...?

I mean... there is no wow-effect at all, right?
Dont they look like average kites, with average materials?
Or did i miss something?!

Dont get me wrong... there are not many of their kites around at our spots... so i was wondering!?
