Hi Guys,

Got my Insta360 One R. Still have not kited with it (no wind), but am pretty impressed so far. I think Peter will like the fact that all stabilisation can be done in post and you can also choose the Field of View in post, which you cannot do with the Max. Here is an example if Autoleveling with the 360 module (sorry the lens is dirty) Its a straight export in Log with Flow State Stabilisation on:

And here a Supfoil test with the 4K Module.

I'm really curious to see the result of the Insta360 One R on the linemount, how it compares with GoPro Max...

Here is a video taken with the GoPro Max and the U.Go linemount:

Sometimes the arms of the mount are visible in the video, which is a bit annoying.
I've found this alternative linemount which is similar to the U.Go mount but with shorter arms, which should make them less visible in the video.
Does anyone know this mount, is it as stable and secure as the U.Go ?

Here is a short test on the beach. It was not enough wind to get on the water. But pretty promissing. This is at max Field of View. Normally I would crop so the horizon has less distortion.

Thanks ! So this is with the 360 module and enabling auto horizon leveling when reframing, right ?

Yes. 360 Module with Flowstate Stalbisation on. No reframing on this file. The mobile app and Pc Software did all the work. I normally would just zoom in a bit to get rid of the distortion and linemount ends .

Have you used the GoPro Max? How would you say the two compare? I got the Max a week ago and am wondering if I should reconsider.

Yes. I have both. I still have not made up my mind as I am testing them together and learning something new every day (both have horribly incomplete manuals). However there are a few things that the Insta does way better in terms of software. In Video quality I have to give it to the Insta. The h.265 codec give a sharper picture with more detail on the edges. Also so far the Insta has not frozen on me. The Max has frozen on multiple occasions. The Insta however still has some stupid bugs. Like the Fast Shoot does not start shooting, it just turns on the camera. Also the screen sensitivity is a bit low. Also the the screen lock is timed, so it will unlock the screen after a couple of minutes.

Thanks. So far I'm happy with the GoPro Max, I just wish there was more resolution or higher framerates in 360 mode. Is the insta any better there?

Any thoughts on the modular design and how it will hold up in water?

Great video and riding. I love the wide view without distortion. What settings? Does the line mounted camera affect flying performance at all?
