These are the same clips I posted earlier from a Max but this time reframed in adobe premier with the gopro Fxreframe plugin. It give a lot more control than the ipad app, but a bit of learning curve. The max does the autoleveling, but you have to "reframe" which is picking where in the 360 video to frame in a non 360 output. The fun part about this reframing is you can focus on your friends or yourself, but it is a bit of work, goes pretty quick on the app. I think the max is the best currently available solution for line mount with the option to do quick reframes/edits on app or more detailed work in premier. Features such as water proof without a case and having a waterproof remote are huge for line mount

Man, that is excellent!! :D did you do that in the GoPro App? On phone or computer?
I was impressed as well. Hope to get the same on real footage. Unfortunately the forecast isn’t showing any wind for whole week :( Hopefully someone else can make a video sooner...

I used the standard Gopro app on iPad
Is it the GoPro app "Quick"? I've been messing with it and can't find it...

Found it. It's on their app, which can be on a phone or a tablet, not a desktop or laptop...

@Newold86: are there any new testings with horizon stabilization and hero8?
Thanks

And one question on 360; when using the gopro app, are you able to pick whatever point of view from it when you start to "edit" it, and will this particular view then keep up until you stop editing or are you able to take different view points? I guess so, but wanted to be sure.

@omg
Yes, you can. Somewhere, there is even a GoPro video that shows how the editing works. Looks super simple and amazing. After watching this, I almost regretted that I ordered the Hero8 instead of the Max. The Hero8 is though

@Ridingroby: Did you do some horizon leveling testing with your 8?

Yes, I have done a bit of shooting while kiting. Unfortunately, not so happy anymore... The horizon leveling works quite well, no real complaints. But the quality deterioration seems not just due of a cropping (and lesser lines), but something else is involved as well. It looks like seriously compressed JPG file, very different from original nice picture.

Haven’t had enough time to play with different settings yet. One thing I’m wondering about is if the camera orientation changes anything regarding the quality. UGo line mount keeps the camera more-less vertical, will try to turn the camera 90 degrees and compare the footage.

Last complaint - the cropping effectively decreases the field of view, so the camera needs to be located farther up on lines. It doesn’t work well with my mount/lines...
