DESIGN VISION

Meet our brand new OSeries kite! A dedicated foil and freeride kite, streamlined to deliver outstanding performance even in a gentle breeze. The OS’s feather-light design redefines durable and sturdy built quality. It is extremely robust while being ultra responsive. The Open-C shape is so much fun to ride, the second you launch you will feel a new sensation of agility, speed, and direct control. Even though it is remarkably dynamic, the OS is easy to tame. It has a smooth power deployment and it’s steering is very precise.
We shaped the kite with a medium aspect ratio and medium swept wing tips. This excessively improves the low-end wind performance, allowing even heavy-set riders to take off in well below 10 knots. This kite is a game changer for those who need to make every day on the water count.

As riding in light wind can be tricky, we paid special attention to the wing’s relaunch capabilities. The OS comes out of the water with ease in hardly any wind. We were also able to eliminate backstall and made the kite exceptionally stable. The canopy is made with the renowned X4 Techno Force™ ripstop cloth and the latest XT high-end leading edge and strut material by Japanese manufacturer Teijin. This combination diminishes flutter and is wear and tear resistant. We spent more than two years on the development of the OS and are extremely proud of the result.
Choose the OS and take off in any breeze.

Key performance features:

• One strut mid-swept hybrid design
• High-performance wing for foiling and freeride

I think it would be nice, especially for lightweight kites, to publish the weights.

Also, when a video has an announcer talking about the turning of the kite, it would be nice to see it turn in that same video.

+1
I weighed the 10m OS and it came out at 2.35kg/5.2lbs. The scale was a bit sketchy, so I'm not confident the weight is correct, but it's probably in the ballpark.

Ozone Aplha 10m 2.23 kg, ultra from Airrish 2.3 kg, but its 2019 model, this Os as 2020 is not so light in weight.

Tried 12m OS, I liked it with a foil board. Turns fast (I'm used to super slow kites like chrono:).
I was unable to relaunch it and had a long swim back to shore. I would recommend it to moderate foiling winds. More struts would be better in high winds and a foil kite for really light wind days

Hi All,

the 10m OS has a weight from 2.5 kg (+/- 0.1 kg).

In the discussion about the weight, it equally important to consider the used raw material versus the related performance.
We are using a high-performance X4 ripstop material which has a bit more weight per m2 as other materials.
But the material has less elongation(deformation) which results in precise and responsive flight characteristics = higher performance.
This is especially noticeable in single strut kites, due to the bigger parts of unsupported canopy area….See high-performance race sails, less elongation = higher performance.

Cheers,
Team Eleveight

Great to see more entrants into the market, but regarding weight...…. It's so much more important than you make it sound by brushing it off. It is time..... weight is a massive factor.... Publish or perish. It's perhaps the biggest factor that differentiates a good foiling kite from a standard kite. Using kites in under 15 knots, it's the weight difference alone that gives that snappy response, easy drift, that float when untended that makes all the difference in the world. If your gonna go single strut, Do it already. The kite should be as light as you know how to make it and sized down to at least a 4m. (you don't have to make many, but it shows your on the ball) Not sizing your foiling kite down smaller than your wave kite is out of touch.

Under 2kg is likely the measuring stick I am using for any new kite going forward.
