Boracay - Bulabog Beach Current Situation

Postby flysurfing » Mon Sep 30, 2019 1:51 pm

Hello,

It seems that currently the situation is terrible in Bulabog Beach on Boracay Island.

Is there anyone on the spot now, is kiting possible at high tide with this pipe ?

Sure, but looks like dry sand is wider than it used to be...been there many times, so know the space on high and low tide...I do hope it gets more beach, since this is an argument for me to go again one day of beach is wider...an 18 is no fun to launch/land on high tide...

Pipes for pumping sewage from resorts straight to the original inhabitants region of island?

Duterte scares the bejesus out of me going to take alot more then clean and wide beach for me to return risk of getting pinned for a fake drug charge and shot is too much for me

I don’t know if it has been done in the right way or not, but Duterte was absolutely correct in doing something with Boracay. If they can clean it up I will definitely go back, but I was never returning the way it used to be.

Will be interesting to see how things develop. One would think kitesurfing is a positive. Bulabog would have to be significantly altered to be all that interesting for beach tourists. For kiting it works brilliantly.

Agreed, it got out of hand.
Too many people and constructions...many illegal, therefore the sewage system could not keep up with it.

Less will be more. Hopefully they get it, only then the island has a future.

Next step would be to get rid of the stinky and noisy transportation and replace with larger electro golf carts.

Fingers crossed...hope to return one day.

After a few months living there i was pretty much told to lay low or get some body guards if i was going to continue partying the way i do arent you guys a little bit concerned about being shot for cash then having a baggy of shabu thrown on you then everyone washing theyre hands of the whole incident?
Ive still know of a few expats in jail over there and its not much fun.
