Punta San Carlos Baja

Postby Brian H » Wed Oct 16, 2019 3:04 am

Hows the road going in lately ? I drove a truck and camper in 15 years ago but I would like to drive a 24 ft class C motorhome in and I remember the last part going down into the beach was very sleep . Has it changed ? Anyone drive motorhomes in ?

The road condition changes with use and rain (washboard and ruts). What will cause you the most grief will be the back of your MH dragging when you cross a small vado. Some travel with short sections of 2x12 to put under the wheels. I drove in in May, at that time I had no problem with my 21' MH.

Thanks guys . Was it the steepness of the last section or the condition of the road that was bad ?

I would say steep for a 24' MH ,rutted and boulders . But that was the the last bit you know . Not saying it could not be driven ,but done carefully . I MTB out 7 miles on the road and it was all good, graded. Flew in .
