+1 for the NATO band. I lost one watch already with the rubber bands, and now using the NATO band it's super secure.

What does everyone use for a band for an Apple Watch while kiting? I'm a little concerned I'm going to lose it and my wife will in turn kill me (anniversary gift). I bought the UAG band based on Surfline's recommendation, it was fine in surf the other day, but today when I was body dragging through some surf getting out with my foil, it loosened up and I thought i was going to lose it.

I like the tracking, etc. but I'd rather not have an angry wife.
i bought the apple silicone band and it has never been close to coming loose. I had my doubts but now i a solid on it...i use strava with my watch... so kool

Although I was happy with my Nike sport band I bought the Spigen Rugged Armor band after reading this thread. It’s an outstanding band for sports, great suggestion dice! Cheap too.

Ocean Band is made for the water. I've been kiting (scuba diving, snorkeling, etc.) with it for a year. Absolutely no worries about losing it.

I actually just ordered a new one (new color introduced today) and once I receive it I will have the black one available, including the extension that is longer so you can wear it over a thick wetsuit/drysuit. LMK if you want to check it out, Plumb Beach is my local spot too.

Yes! After testing many, I now only use the Nomad sports band, not very cheap (€70) but damn that thing feels so sturdy and high quality! In my opinion the closing mechanism feels more secure than the original Ocean band...

Nice will buy it as a present for my brother, do you by chance know a good band for a fenix 6 pro? That's what I am using.

The UAG Silicone bands are very solid and much lower profile than the Apple Silicone bands.

Nomad Active Waterproof Leather Band is brilliant. Looks a lot better than the more pure "sports bands" (especially if you got stainless steel) and works really well for kiting.

It does get worn a bit so if you are kiting every day or very frequently maybe a pure "sports band" is better, but for me it has been perfect. Kiting, running, gym, daily use etc.
