Hi everyone.
I have an older 4 line kite and don't fancy using the outdated quick release that came with it. I'm thinking about buying a Slingshot Sentinel bar and just wondered if this can be used instead? The kite is a Best Waroo.
Cheers.

The Sentinel will work on most 4 line kites, and as far as i am aware, its only Fone that has the two line safety flag out system on their bar and lines.

You might need to add a pig tail to the front and back lines of the kite because if I remember correctly the kook proof connectors of the old best kites were the opposite of the current standard.
New bars connection points look like this:

I use Slingshot bars on all my kites....Naish and Ocean Rodeo...I love these bars, solid build, proven QR, OS handles, excellent swivel, excellent lines , and more. I no longer like PU tubing and prefer tradition center lines......and I usually pay no more than $350......

I have used Slingshot Sentinel bars on Cabrinha, Slingshot, and my current Ozone kites. Well built solid bars.
I now use Ozone bars and lines on my current Ozone kites because they come with SK99 lines. I was able to buy them without QRs (I make my own QRs).

i used an OLD Slingshot Sentinel with a 12m flysurfer soul
i'd try racing or carbon bars.. but then return to the slingshot.
yes it heavy.. but it is balanced and always trusted it.

Yeah. I really like Slingshot bars. They just seem to work, and LAST! I don't race so I like the heavy duty front lines.

F-One (Monolith) and RRD (Global v7) were the last two brands that had a mini-5th system. Since 2018 every major brand's c-bar is a single-line system. Core could be the one exception since theirs is technically a hybrid, but it's predominately a single-line system.

What year Waroo? 2012 and older models were designed for a mini-5th system (2-line flagging). It doesn't mean that it won't work with a modern single line system, but depending on the bridle design, it could result into looping when released. 2013 and on the Best kites were designed for single line systems.
