Does anyone have their newton bar? Looks like they are using OEM bar by majestik. Design is a bit more simplistic than reedin but same QR.
Would be great to see some real life pictures. :D
Here you go 😉
I really like it personally because it’s clean an simple.

Wow those guys are so next-gen that you cannot access any of their products... have a good life... I predict it will be short. Who the hell wants to scan QR code’s when they are already on the website?

Just because for whatever reason the website seems to be only optimized for mobile handsets yet...

I don't think the vantage kite is something special it is just a kite it is more to collect data from the people who have them and feed that data in too their new software that they are developing that is probably the money maker behind the process once that is completed they try to license that software too other manufacturers so they don't have to make so many prototypes.

The real question is do the manufacturers need that my guess is that the big brand do not need it and the smaller brands can't afford it only time will tell.

You are absolutely right, the Vulture may not be a gamechanger yet, compared to other kites on the market, but at least it's a decent kite which is on a par with the big ones and works well in a lot of conditions with the possibility to fine tune for multiple disciplines. Compared to most kiteboarding brands, except for those coming from the paragliding section that may already do some advanced analysis here and there, e.g., in a wind channel there is a lot of potential in the sensor based measurement approach but also in machine learning but of course these models require data and collecting those takes some time. However, in the end, it's up to you if you like to stick with a big brand that just changes the color (or not even that anymore ;-)) and price tag of their kites from year to year, but at least in my opinion with the Vulture one gets a kite that is now proven to be working and well made to a very reasonable price tag and the good conscience that you support a young brand that thinks outside the box.

It’s another way of marketing.

If you are a team rider you are cooler than others.
And that always works 😉

Fully agree, but this alone doesn’t generate any revenue for the company...

They do pay for their gear, right?

Yes you do and those riders are therefore called development team riders when you read closely. I actually don’t have any insight on how much money kite manufacturers earn per kite and what is the actual manufacturing cost. However, from my „naive“ point of view and I don’t know if you ever saw the price list (won’t talk about this topic) it‘s in my opinion more of covering the costs for the gear than to make revenue with the riders. I also can’t think of how a small startup shall get all the money to equip a decent amount of riders to get a meaningful amount of people to train algorithms. We are not talking about 10-15 team riders that are fully sponsored. But teach me if I am wrong...

so the "teamriders" pay for the development.

No one works for free if it comes to gear. So, they will make some money. How much do you need if all costs are covered?

Smart marketing.
