I am flying core kites for the last 4 years, jumping hard at any direction and never had the problem like this.

Might be worth sliding the EVA floats at the bar up, and checking that the line connections underneath are on even settings?

Been using Core for several years now, have had lots of them including XRs, and never had this issue. The XR5 is also an amazingly good kite.

Not sure if you checked your bars lines are are equal length when depower strap full powered. Most important to do first. xr5's have a huge topend so don't give up yet.

Great you got it to fly straight :thumb:

Regarding power and trim, all kites are a bit or a lot different, also after use.

Having lines equal length is a good starting point, but that's it.

As I assume you have, or at some time will get, several kites, it is not a good idea to trim too much at the bar, as it must fit all your kites in perfect trim.

Simply make the rear pigtails at the kite a bit longer, or make some knots on the front bridles if possible.

This way you can use all bars with all kites :naughty:

@iriejohn

I measured the D1 lines and they are 35-36 cm. I moved the lines to the last connector. It made a little difference. I added some pigtails on the front that will allow me to change the angle of attack at the front. I didn't get time to test this weekend I hit the water and could not control myself to return and change the settings.

One thing I know for sure is that the front bridles are not 100% they were pulling to the left when I bought the kite so I tuned them and now the kit is flying straight. My guess is that over all the bridles in the front or longer then they should be thus causing positive angle of attack at the front thus the forward pull.

Thanks for the idea
