Following up on this older topic: Peter Frank, what did you settle on?
Agreed, it'd be great to have a QR that could take single 6mm and be secured with a knot like the previous generation Ozone.
The trend on new gear seems to be PU covered depower lines which usually means something like 2.5mm line inside, great but not much leeway for wear when it finally does occur.
I guess I'm a fan of non-covered depower lines, it's just nice to see the condition of the line and easily replace when needed and be able to DIY with a length of Dyneema.

Me too.

I have Ozone V4 Water bars with Infexion QR's. I splice my trim line/depower lines using 5mm D12 Dyneema with a 3cm loop at the bottom which loops into the Infexion "Depower cord ring set". This spliced rope, which is ~7mm thick, extends into the Ozone (Clamcleat) cleat Base. From the cleat Base onwards the rope is 5mm which plays nicely with the Ozone/Clamcleat cleat which is mounted on the Base

@ irie, Yes, the Infexion QR is a great option.
Do you use their micro leash?

No, use an Ozone short leash.

Make your own, easy enough.
Apologies for massive backtracking here but wondering what knot would be best to secure a stainless steel ring to the depower line? (See Peter's photo, top bar seniero) Yes I could easily splice a loop and then larkshead to the ring but still want to consider a knot. The resulting reduced line strength shouldn't be an issue with 6mm rope or even 5mm. Thanks

The halyard hitch is basically for this:

Thanks, yes that's a beautiful knot. It also would function as a natural bar to ring cushion.

Pay attention to the caution:
“When trimmed close this knot should never be used for critical loads.”

Yes, I saw that. Their example was trimmed super close, like almost flush. How about leaving 1cm tail with heat shrink cap?

It’s so incredibly easy to splice 5 mm amsteel. Why risk having a knot pull through?

I have had a bowline pull out with slippery high tech single braids. I have taken to putting an overhand knot in the bitter end.
