I'm about the same weight and have the 8m for big air, loops and tricks.
They have a big wind range is very wide from 15-30 plus...
28 - 30 is still very comfortable and stable to hold down as long as you have a good depower and throw on whatever bar you use..
Try both 8 & 9m...
You may want to add rear line pigtails so you don't need any depower in 20 knots.
Save that depower for 25 - 30 etc

Ppl are claiming that they are holding down the 15m at 20-22knts. I use my 15m w 24m lines though, and above 18-19knts, it gets sketchy. I was looking for one Soul that can cover between 19-30knts range, and 9m might do the trick. i think I should also consider 20m lines, but I love my 15m's low end too much, afraid of losing it in comparison to some gain in high ends.
Thanks for the tip!

Unless you weight light a feather those claims are true. I did 19 meters on my Soul 15 at 25kts.
I’m 80kg and I rocked the 15/8m Soul quiver. If I was only TT I would have that but hydrofoiling changed it all up for me and I really do regret selling my 15. You gotta have a bar with tons of depower but the range on the 15 is nothing short of amazing.

I weight 90 kg, first I had a 12 wich I could use from 15 up to 30 knt (a bit sketchy at the top end though), then I got an 8, which I could ride from 18 up to 35 and that I didnt use much, Then after I went to indonesia with all my gear and didnt manage to get a session on the 12 I got a 15, which basically ended up replacing the 12 completelly, so I sold the 12, but I ended up with a big hole in the quiver as the low end of the 8 wasnt that fun and the top end of the 15 was very sketchy, so I sold the 8 and got myself a 10.
So atm I have a 10 and a 15 and it covers almost every condition I like to ride in.
So in your case (15kg less) you ll better get yourself a 15-9

Yep - use 18m lines for top end and 2m extensions for the lower side of the 8m..

For big air overpowered I actually liked stock FS length lines. I have the timing down for that length. I did enjoy 15m lines on it as well for hydrofoiling. My complaint about that size is the hydrofoil window was way too small for me.
I personally think the 8m is a more fun kite that the Soul 10m. Just more lively, throw aroundable for me, and being about to power kite loop was addicting. My 6m reminds me a lot of the 8m but on Twin Tip, I think the 8m is the funniest.

Curious about the relationship line length vs air time.
Do the shorten lines create less hangtime/loft? or there is absolutely no correlation between two?
