I was out there last January staying at Ponta Preta only kited with a surfboard at kite beach they were out foiling further out but there is some reef closer to shore if it is possible it might depend on tide height? Ponta Preta should be ok I’m back off out there at the end of December taking my foil board as well this time so would be good to find out if it is ok closer to shore at Kite beach. Cheers Steve

Make sure to keep an eye out for all the tortoises in the water! There's tons of them. On kite beach. Don't know about the other side of the island.

I would say yes as long as you stick to the lagoon end where all the schools teach and wait for high tide

At low tide, it's knee deep in places over the reef
