New World Record beats dodgy Woo rider claims

Postby ShaveTheWhales » Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:48 am

Put up or Shut Up... you know the rules !!!!

Heres a real pic of one of the many riders who go huge around various parts of the world.
Dont forget - a lot of people have been going huge before the try hards got out of nappies :baby:

Photographed in the Netherlands...

The right conditions happen all around the world at different times for big jumpers..

Do you somehow imply that a picture like above is more reliable than a woo post?
Have you ever heard of photoshop, lens distortion, favorable angles, etc
I took this at the museum of illusion yesterday.. There is no post processing, photoshop, etc.. and no, my wife is not smaller than my 6year old.

It was called a woo record, not the highest jump ever done in kitesurfing record. Woo calls it a game btw, in case you couldn't manage to read that one properly as well.

GPS , margen of error for map plotting , on transverse plane or axial plane
is NOT better, than 3M ;
SO
that error would be WAY WORST for actual altitude measurements, because
of satellite location. If you lower the satellite,(angle) for better margen of
error on altitude ; now Ya got twice the atmospheric interference , making
the margen of error even higher.

NO ---- i would Not believe a WOO, for a record jump (.)

Bille
You do know that exactly because of that a woo does not use GPS right?
Jump height is calculated based on vector and forces perceived by the device.

Sure it is no way near accurate but ballpark it gives some indication. It is a fun toy and probably better then a random picture without knowing perspective/lens properties/etc.

When people look like ants you get props from me. I don't care if you woost or not, it's all good. Go get it! We don't need stupid arguments about the precise height, come on guys.

Before Ya ask ; i use to work for NSA.
I guess the keyword is "used to"...

Do you homework on stuff before you start commenting...
If you have some rant on acceleromenter precision bring it on, but talking GPS on a woo thread is plain retarded...
