Do you homework on stuff before you start commenting...
So no Woo version had any GPS locating? Could someone take it to the amusement park and get some "sick" readings?

You do know that exactly because of that a woo does not use GPS right?
Jump height is calculated based on vector and forces perceived by the device.

...
I changed that post ; was thing old school GPS altimeters.

Hopefully they will come up with a waterproof laser distance meter
for reading jump altitude soon ; they are Really accurate for now, up
to 30M , (but 60 to 100m is what we need).

No. No gps in a woo, ever. It just uses an accelerometer and gyroscope to estimate jumps. As such, you can fake results and make it onto the leaderboards all you want since it has no idea where you actually "jumped".

Even consumer laser rangefinders work upwards of +2000ft with a margin or error of 10cm. That baseline error would be a lot less than a woo at almost all heights, but way better at higher jump heights. of course, there's no way to really make that concept work in an affordable consumer product ...

Probably, but the top of the leaderboard is curated afaik.
I think they manually look at the top list to double check if they are not faked.

It is probably also trivial to hack the app or Bluetooth input reading if you want to be a ****

As said before it is a nice toy/game for something that needs to be somewhat affordable & have an ok battery time & and needs to be small and light.

Sure with infinite budget you can make something more accurate and harder to fake.

Reality is this what we got and for what it costs it provides me plenty of amusement and tracking of progress in my jumps.

You guys keep inventing elaborate schemes on how to beat the woo (amusement park, bluetooth, drone, slingshot) but meanwhile, anyone can fabricate a photo like in the root post in a matter of seconds with ANY PC or phone.. here is my 20 meter 1 foot from the other day :-) ... done in less than 1 minute with pixlr.com editor :-)

I am NOT saying that the shot in the root post is a fake, btw..

If you are serious obtain video also.

It would be cool to have an award each year for biggest jump.

In surfing it is assessed by witnesses to video and photographic evidence at a big awards ceremony a big cash prize. These toy devices companies should have nothing to do with it.

in kiting everyone could turn up to a mcdonalds and chip in for a $1 cone for the winner.

If you have some rant on acceleromenter precision bring it on, but talking GPS on a woo thread is plain retarded...
I deserved a bit better scolding , than the one Ya gave me "deniska" ; and
thanks for being COOL , about it !!! :thumb:

no problem!
I hope we are cool...

here is what triggered my response to this thread:
I keep following this and the other (33.9m Jump thread)..
So there are 2 guys, basically on top of their game and having super powered sessions (on different days and places)
One with the woo gets all the shit in the world because he could not produce a photo/video of his main jump..
No one said anything bad about the other dude with just one picture..
There is no evidence of authenticity with neither case nor clear proof that ether of them actually crossed the 30 something meter line..
So why give one guy all the shit and the other guy all the high fives?

Do you somehow imply that a picture like above is more reliable than a woo post?
Have you ever heard of photoshop, lens distortion, favorable angles, etc
IMG_4757.JPG

This pic was copied several months ago and was posted on various forums and facebook - so your a bit late - to the Tea Party !
video ? well they posted a big arse vid too - much the same as the Toy woo one...

Yes its better than a Toy Woo Post !!!
Youd have to be an absolute Low life guy to post a photoshopped big Air pic on various forums and facebook of yourself.

Youv'e obviously forgotten what its like to be honest - Do you surround yourself with Dishonest people - or is it too much inaccurate Woo pimping adjustments...
.
Your Woo riders don't have a video or photo of the big one - so do you somehow imply the Toy Woo is Accurate ?
If so please tell us all why it does not meet "any criteria" of a sanctioned accurate World Record recording device...
before water leaks into it or it becomes faulty like the hundreds of warranty returns, due to various malfunctions Worldwide.

Dont forget to cough up the Toy woo "Evidence of authenticity" pic and vid too of the big one... not just some guy doing big jumps - as lots of big jumpers around the world do !!!
