C'mon.... OP is just trying to create a market to sell GFK, MUK, IKA, IKO, FUUKIT, BULLSTHIT organization life/dental/outdoor sports insurance. GOOD SCAM!

Are we that gullible?

Mattheo some of us are dumb enough to wear helmets when kitesurfing which increases the chance of knock out due to larger surface area hitting water and making our brain slosh into one side our skull even harder then it would without a helmet.

So yeah some of us are that fukn dumb and they are members of the "freeride" club

Newbie ass kooks if you ask me

Only in America aye?

Imo the kite flyer takes the risk. Your gear, your responsibility. If you let a muppet damage it then you are the tool for handing it over to him/her and not giving clear enough instructions.

I wear a helmet for the concrete, the rocks, the trees, the ground, docks, submerged logs, my own board (no leash), fences etc. I can manage a theoretical increase in concussion risk if bailing out of a jump the exact wrong way.

I did speak with an attorney about this waiver. He mentioned its plausible....but it would be more effective to get our group together and form a non-profit group, establish a contract that everyone agrees not to sue each other and then purchase insurance that protects members from others as well as each other. Good luck with the insurance part....I couldnt find any...

This is just a really early April fools joke? Right? Right?

If anyone ever came to me on the beach with that

I would not say a word and just walk away laughing.

Heck, I can sell you a super cheap policy to protect your group from being sued by others that have signed a waver not to sue anyone in your group.

So what happened to start this thread? Seems like a damaged kite is below court costs and below any insurance deductible.
