Hi Kehler,

Just back from a nicely powered session on my 9m Dash (28 to 32mph gusting 40 to 45mph), the UK has a storm this weekend and winds are very strong, currently picked up to 40mph gusting 55mph. I have to admit.... I rode the 9m dash on the correct Naish Bar (I was previously flying the Dash on an Ozone 50cm bar) and it really improved the kite. On the Naish bar the kite turned a bit faster and felt more responsive. I still prefer the Torch for 10m to 14m size, and the Dash 9m, and below. I have the brand new 11m (2019) Torch sat here... just waiting for the perfect 22mph. One thing I notced about the photos of the 2019 Torch is it has slightly outwards swept wing tips, I think this helps improve the low end power more. You can spot it in Photo's below (where the leading edge ends at the wing tips, the last 50cm or so flare outwards more than previously). The 2019 kite looks more high aspect ratio than previous Torch's so should turn fast and jump well :thumb: Naish also designed it to be far higher pressure (11 PSI) so I imagine the kite will be super stable and very rigid in the air, to be fair the Torch was always super stable and rigid.

I saw a rider on a 2019 Torch in the summer and noticed this straight away, it looked a little unusual in the air. At first I tough he had not inflated the kite enough, but turns out he was a very good rider throwing big handlepasses. I'm guessing the outwards sweep has improve the low end a little, and the thinner leading edge has also improved the low end by speeding the kite up.
