Don’t forget SUP...isn’t Naish also strong in it ?
They don’t have special racing team any more. I think it just Casper to tell like top paddles in there team..

You mean, nobody is interested in continually eating shit, trying to do every more intricate and indistinguishable subtle variations of the same boring handle pass and smashing their knees up?

What a shock...

Lol, neither really. Just observations. My point was that line of thinking didn't make the water back then, barely even contemplated trying... just sat and watched :) Plus it's mostly nonsense, some weird myths regarding unhooking continually perpetuate on this forum (wonder why lol)... you don't have to regurly eat shit, you don't have to be trying the most technical tricks, handle passes arn't boring when you can do em and you don't have to wreck your knees. Cyling makes a good analogy as another multi disciplined sport, 15/20yrs ago we were all BMXer's and DH biker's but nowadays we're mainly just overweight lycra wankers with loads of $$$ gear and no f**king idea

I will happily buy into his new brand and gig, as he will be at the top of the company.

Although I am old enough to respect the heck out of Robby Naish, he was one of my legends when I sailed with a wishbone instead of a bar, but KevLog takes the cake over most sporting legends even 20 years ago. And he's ahead of likely any kiter as a "brand".....so why not have that brand or put that marketing ability to use.

My comment was from my observations ;) of watching all the freestyle guys eat shit endlessly, young fellas hobbling around with knee braces on, getting excited about finally landing the trick that looked exactly like the thing they landed a half hour ago.

... and longwhitecloud is puzzled as to why young folks aren't taking up the sorry in record numbers

Could be worse. We could be windsurfing.

wakestyle is great. Not because it's easy but in the words of JFK because it's hard. No other reason really there are other tricks that are more aesthetically pleasing to spectators but I still love watching and practicing wakestyle. I hate seeing all our young riders with knee braces but wakestyle on a kite is still much safer than wakeboarding behind a boat that will really mess you up. So yeah go wakestyle! Also go board offs and megaloops.
