Probably yes. With middle prices. Anyway i think for him very hard time now, big pressure to win kota, to build successful buisness, bould great videos. That is a lot for one person to keep in high level.

I doubt he will win. Some kids ride better than him...and are hot to go for it...Kevin will not go for that risk the others will...

But his talk that one their kite will (can) perfect fit in our times (not as 15 years ago) for boosting, kiting, waves and even foiling is very unprofessional.
He definitely made a big claim in the video that smooth power distribution would make for a great all in one kite. But as we all know there is much more too it and many tradeoffs. As for Toby's "average Joe" comment, I think average guys benefit even more from specialized kites. A great kiter can use any kite and make it do amazing things by adjusting for the kite's shortcomings. [insert clip of Robby Naish boosting on a 2-line kite] But an average kiter needs all the help they can get - a little extra take off from a boosting kite in case their timing is not perfect, a little extra drift from a surfing kite in case the kite is not at the perfect spot for the wave, ...

To feed the marketing FOMO machine to people with disposable income.

That's about it.

So the guy who built some really good specialty kites and some really good all around kites for years says he can build a better all around kite and you have a problem with this? If it is even slightly better than what he made before it probably will be better than 93% of the riders out who will use it to go back&forth and try to do the jumping and drifting thing.
just my opinion, doesn’t mean a thing until I get to actually ride it

You may be right, saw that happen at the Red Bull megaloop contest, I think as long as he ends up in the final he will get all the publicity he needs for the Reedin brand.

Wrong.

Take out a Dice, then an Evo then a Rebel and you'll see the difference. Different brands feel different, and need different styles to get the most out of them. I know this well as I only kite on used kites, so my quiver is a miss-match of all sorts, 5 strut, 3 strut, C, delta. They all fly different. Some are fun, some are more hard core.

I like the choice.

Or maybe because his new business really depends on a good showing, he will go off and risk more also?

Some brands have 8.

I think there is a mentality in kiteboarding right now that buying yourself performance will make u feel good.

It has been pushed and pushed by marketers over the last ten years enough for people to actully believe it.

People take yourself back ten years + with a bit of youtubes help for a reality check.

I get people quoting things to me from kites marketing material these days at the beach and tactfully tell them how to achieve their goals without going shopping.

You got business, then you got reality.. business is very good at pushing it's agenda tho

If you are stressed because your friend has a better woo score with a new/ more expensive kite, or you think you will wave ride better on a kite marketed with " the best drift", or think you need different kites for different disciplines.., a kite with more slack for passes.. don't.. it is unhealthy.

Some pros even seem to drag around a set of wave kites and freeride/freestyle kites.. around thevworld.f$%ing ridiculous.

Sports that have gone the way of buying performance suck imo.

One of the cheapest board sports is skateboarding.. $150 worth of equipment.. have resisted all manner of expensive technology and yet they rip soo hard.

Time for kiteboarding to get a reality check. Less equipment talk and more riding talk.
