Do you know if such exists? I cannot easily find commercial nor thingverse print.

Or do you have one to share for instant 3d printing?

It doesn't really exist because the form factor is wrong for it. You can try with a regular linemount like the U-GO but it tends to vibrate too much or you end up having it hanging straight down where you are in the overlap of the frames.

A normal action camera has a focused direction. The insta 360 one X is supposed to capture in all directions. By sticking it in a line mount you end up with line mount and lines blocking a lot of the footage when in the end you actually want to capture whats going on at the end of the lines.

Play around with it but I decided I was better off with a second hand GoPro session in the lines and my insta 360 one down at rider level (either with a pole or mounted onto the kite bar) to get the best shots. Someone on here posted a review of the mount positions using a GoPro 360. He put it on the kite, on a line mount, on the bar and on a backpack mount. Have a search for it and make your own decision what shots looked good but I definitely preferred the ones down at rider level.

I am more seeking balanced mount where onex is laying parallel to kite lines and between them. We have done multiple 3d printed line mounts (also for garmin 360 and multiple for gopros) so we have good base available.

Measuring the case and drawing takes time and I am in a bit hurry. And venture case is still at courier so I cannot start measuring. My initial plan is to replace venture case's outer plastic frame with my mount to save weight.

Good luck! Sounds like a good project.

Here is the video I mentioned before:

Maybe its the fact its on a high Y split that gives it the fore-shortened effect that I'm not so keen on, but take a look and see if you like the effect you get before sinking a lot of time into it. I'll be interested in seeing your results still. My 360 one case fogs a little too much for extended use as the camera gets warm when on and then warmer in the sun. Fine in the UK but not ideal on holiday. I watched enough gopro fusion footage to realise the crop wasn't any better than a hero session so stuck with my version.

Thanks for the video link. All my bars has low Y so viewing angle is quite similar to bar mount option. So view point would be like this my friends video on Virb360. I imagine it would be best view point for hydrofoil recording. And for snow kiting.

360-camera was also nice on top of backback in winter and attached to self-made buoy. So everyone could do their tricks around the "hot spot" for camera.

Here is quickly made first revision with camera mount screw mounting.. This mount should be invisible to 360 camera, but after few weeks we know better.

Looks good! I particularly like the screw mounting for extra security. I guess it means it doesn't need to be 100% snug fitting.

Out of interest, what are you thinking of using to print? I vaguely recall someone printing bike parts with PLA but having issues with water damage over time.

Hopefully the new point to follow software release announced for the one R will be retrospective for the one X. It will make the editing really easy.

We used the screw mount for version1 what Venture-case comes with.

About printing. I ordered this from professional 3D printing service which is using "HP PA12" material with full infill. For couple of euros more it was dyed black and got hydrofobic coating.

I added One X 360 gopro mount as a size reference of basic camera. The linemount is designed for water proof Venture-Case.

First assembly, it is sturdy enough that camera does not vibrate and turn out.

In EU it is hard to find 1/4" UNC screws with finger tightening..

I'm pretty excited to see how this performs.
