In theory...a vehicle with 4 x kites, 4 x boards and the rest of kit required for this time of the year in UK...comes to somewhere between 5-10k these days depending on age, condition etc. For the purposes of this question, let’s say it does. With one item the latest Duotone something at £1,400 or a Flysurfer Soul £1,700 (keep everyone happy).
I checked my car insurance with Direct Line who also provide my Home insurance and I can see them easily wriggling out of any claim for theft (see separate threat on war stories) because they exclude ‘water craft’. I also have a camper van and the insurance doesn’t cover items over £500.
How do people in UK insure their gear between house and spot or while out kiting or off paying for petrol or eating lunch while the car is unattended?
Made me think I need 3rd party policy or different insurance provider next time I renew....or a Witcher
Anyone got a UK policy which gives them peace of mind while out and about?
