If you want to use a magnet, it would probably be really easy to push apart the depower line and slide a small one inside. Pull it tight again and it should stay put.

Its then just a question of getting a magnet or something ferrous to stick to the cleat; aluminium alloy won't work.

You can also get the spare part for the core bar, costs almost nothing:

Certainly would NOT recommend - all my 4 Core bars lost it after a few sessions. Got some heavy duty sticky velcro from HomeDepot - stays forever.

Thanks. Did not find those - the site i mentioned has the ball but not the actual handle. Might be a thought of hiving them a call as they seem to be Slingshot specialists.
One can also buy flexible magnets which look like rubber and can probably be stiched to a normal handle. Or disk magnet can be glued to cleat and a small piece of metal with some holes stitched to/into normal handle. I was actually thinking of using a thick keyring tied into the knot i have inside my velcro handle - i have a Blade unibar. The problem is protecting magnet from direct contact with metal or it breaks easily. May be rubber magnet glued to the cleat will work with a keyring or something... Need some experimenting 😂

Do non-rusting magnets exist or did all the kite brands choose the wrong magnets? Always saw corrosion on the slingshot and ozone bars with magnets.

Corrosion where? Aluminium cleat with magnet attached in some way? Are magnets glued or just screwed on in those bar?
Anyone knows a way to avoid that?

Forget the repair option. Get yourself a Cabrinha 2018/19/20 bar with cleat. Depower strap only dangles about 8 inches when fully depowered (which means you possibly should be on a smaller kite) but on average it is about an inch or two. Perfect.
