Angely .. I’m sorry but all PC aside (and I know this will upse lt some), she looked way out of her depth. That being said it’s better for the sport and women’s riding in general she was in it. I’d like to see more females give it a crack and have a seperate comp.
I agree, she didn't manage to land as many tricks as she expected. But, in my opinion, it does not mean she has not the level required to compete in KOTA. I'm sure she'll come back stronger and more prepared next year.

I was also surprised/disappointed by the performance of Lasse Walker.

Makes sense if forecast is bad.
And, if watched on livestream you can better plan to take one day off to watch rather than 2 or 3...

I prefer one day.
I wholeheartedly agree.

Angely looked like the business on her first jump. I think she crashed her second and lost all confidence as everything else wasn't great. If she trains for this event, she'll be fine to compete next year. Although, I think it would be good to run a second comp for women to try to encourage more to compete in this event.

Same re Lasse's performance. To be fair to him, he didn't really get any good kickers the whole first part of the heat. Then Ewan's crash happened and he was eliminated. I didn't see his second run.

Yeh don’t get me wrong I was stoked she was in the comp’. As someone said earlier, the best male riders were already in the comp so putting just another only heat bound rider would be a means to no end. But it wasn’t just the kickers, she looked very uncomfortable, was tentative in her stance and speed at the kickers. Also agreed, more training and prep” be really exciting to see her going hard next year, she’s a dead set hero in my mind. Be good to see some other females stepping up.

video entry is invitational if they decide...

i don't agree with skipping rounds based on last years result... it's a fast developing discipline.

Way better entertainment than the painful to watch cheapskate World Sailing / GKA events of the last few years .

$ talks

Glad to see no one swapped out from strap board to boots board mid heat - that is some seriously dumb Sh%6 - whoican afford that! It is harldly setting a good example to a new generation.

As for handles - jut ban then outright - level playing field.....

No handle, no progression.
Ban boots in freestyle is equivalent.

Angely was nervous from what I've herad. Looked really good at the start. So many dudes sht the bed when doing this event for the first time ... she deserved to be in there.

Sad to say but was obviously that she was much slower even in movement comparing with guys. Its simple, compare Nba and Wnba, its the same slowenes difference.

Ban boots too in the comp, make the playing field level, same with the handle, they clearly don't need it judging from what we saw and are progressing well.

Airton rips but... separate comp , holding the board between your legs is banned though with a $10 000 fine.

I don't have a problem with Angely - her first loop was worthy, for sure an inspiration to others girls too . . we have seen it in other action sports - huuuuuge gains in girls riding quality over the last 10 years, would be good for it to be kiteboarding's turn to increase it much further.

I don't really like seeing them risk their necks for such a pittance in prize money vs risk when it comes to that 36+ knot stuff, not really fun seeing 2 people knocked out and drowning last year only to be rescued just in time to survive.
