Wow, more than 2 people worldwide are actually wakeskating with a kite.. awesome.

It is very difficult but better than cable or boat for learning because you don't need the board to come around each time u slam.

Barefoot kickflips on a heavy wooden wakeskate. Good work take the foot bruise pain.. er I think... if you skate/ used to skate.. it helps.. but if you didn't.. hey you are landing on water when it goes wrong..

U can pick up old wakeskates for next to nothing.. have a try ( don't even worry about the high rocker just give it a go)

It takes a lot of perseverance because it is generally much harder than any other kite discipline. I'd put airtons surfboard 313 up there tho.

Kite wakeskating has been hyped and pretty much disappeared a few times over the last 20 years, I am sure that is due to the difficulty level/ dedication required by taking away gluing the board to riders feet. You don't get to use the wind to stick the board to your feet so much either like strapless freestyle.

Try it today. :-0

Based on all the footage here, I'd guess that the reason wakeskates aren't more popular is that they aren't fun without flat water? Or more precisely, the long learning curve is even worse without flat water?

For most trick learning no doubt, can still ride them in anything tho, even put fins on them.

you can use a wakeskate to practice and then transfer the experience to a freestyle surf ..expecially if some day shallow water or dont want broke too many board. :nono:
