Naples Florida access

Postby BigSky » Sat Feb 08, 2020 2:10 pm

Hi. I'm heading to Naples next week and plan on bringing kites and a foil. I want to respect the local rules, written and unwritten. I'm experienced and like to immediately get far away from shore (not a show off). What's the deal with access? Any help is appreciated. I will have several Flysurfer Peak 4 kites if someone wants to try one.

When offshore wind in Naples, then go to east coast.

Thank you. I'm challenged but I don't see Naples access points in any of these sites. What am I missing?

If you haven't done so already, click on Spots, then zoom in on Florida, then Naples area. Shows one spot on 2nd Ave N. I'm not sure how access is there though. Try contacting Naplesfloridakiteboarding.com for local info. This time of year you will get good winds before and after cold fronts on the Florida west coast.

Thanks. I love the clouds but the peaks are so much better, IMHO. Yes, if you put it in the water its a 50/50 for getting it up again. Btw, the Clouds, great kites, often flipped over the lines and became inoperable when they went in the water. That said, you literally have to try to put a Peak 4 in the water - they want to fly. They are so easy to set up and take down I can't imagine using another kite. I don't miss a pump, for sure. Even better, they super cheap to buy. For travel I can fit 5 Peak 4's kites, my foil and split board, wet suit, harness, etc in a back pack that weighs 36lbs. All of that makes me a huge lover of the Peak 4. Cheers

im around nowadays.. with all gear but only 3 peak4 kites

ignoring how much of a joy peak4s are to fly.. they are the ultimate travel kite for foilers.
