Kitesurfing Israel in April

Postby Zurki » Sun Feb 09, 2020 7:36 pm

Hi kiteforum community

I'm looking for a nice, warm and windy destination for our next kite trip in April. I was thinking about Israel. Probably not the strongest wind but enough for some good sessions? I did search in this forum and other places but didn't fin a lot of information. I understand that there is some kiting in Tel Aviv but wind probability is better in the south, Eilat?
Would be really cool to get some up-to-date info on these spots!

Essaouira, Morocco might be worth a look.

if it just for kite-surf vacation may consider different destination....

during April you should expect some wind a long the Mediterranean coast,

North wind(side shore), ~13 - 18 k, at the afternoon, maybe 1 or 2 days per week(depend on the forecast - windguru wrf 9),

you can kite at Tel Aviv but uselly the more you will go North - the wind will be stronger(many spot between T.A to the N, max' 2 hour drive),

other option - Eilat(red sea) : i guess you will have some wind(start of the season but wind probability is better),small spot,North wind(side shore), 20 k, all day,

Eilat it's ~ 4 hour drive from T.A(or 1 hour flight).
