Hello, I am 185 pounds 6.1ft and I'm not sure what size to get on the Crazyfly raptor the 136 or the 140 any suggestion?
Thanks.
Had both but I’m 250lbs, the 140 is perfect. Found the 136 a bit small, wind was never steady enough to enjoy as much as the 140
185lbs if you are very competent I would think the 136

The board fin has hit something solid. that's why its broke.had the same thing to my cazyfly board. I went super manning through the air after hitting a large concrete anchor in bali.

I had the Jaime textreme 136 2018 version that is the same as the 2019 version, sold it..
Had the North Gonzales 142, sold it.
Also have the X-ride 138, Crazyfly 145, and Naish Monarch 135.
Very important part is the spray you get in your face when kitesurfing, all the boards mentioned above except the Monarch spray. Also I found durability on the North boards lacking to say the least.Had to fix one of the tips with epoxy after the board was swept away and hit a rock. Crazyfly strap failed on me during a jump but that was the cheap binding version, still, never happened with the Vario straps or the Entity.

I am the opposite I didn’t like the raptor it felt a little gravely across the water. The jamie is smoother in my opinion releases easier and a better board. Try to demo both. I don’t ride either but I would definitely have a jamie if I could afford one.

I know it is a year later but ...
I have narrowed my options to the CF Raptor LTD and the Jaimie SLS / Textreme. At 205 lbs, I am leaning towards the 140cm or 139cm boards. Some local say to go with the 136cm range.
Seems to me these are the top two options on the market but any feedback or recommendations on these or any similar boards (Naish, Cabrinha, etc) and size options would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If you are in the lower end of the range of your kites, then get the bigger board. If you ride in the higher end and nuking winds, go with the smaller.

@KW65 I am currently riding 136x41 Raptor LTD 2021. My previous board was 140x42 Raptor LTD from 2013. I can not say going smaller made anything better at my 70kg. Yes - I got lighter and nimbler feeling board, that I am able to hold edge better(not skipping on water). But my old board felt smoother in chop, never felt heavy or bulky and had a "better low end" - more fun and easier upwind when wind on lower limit of the kite.
So for your weight I would say go for the 140x42 for the Raptor. Go smaller only if you always prefer to ride full power and select your kite for the conditions that way - exactly what @Blackened wrote above.

It seems very stiff - How is it in choppy situations?

Board looks great!

The shop near me has one but I can't demo it.

If your question is directed to me and my experience with CF Raptor LTD 2021- it is noticeably stiffer than 140x42 2013 model, but not bad at all in chop. It is quite choppy where I usually ride, but never felt the 2021 model to be hurting my knees. As I wrote above - 2013 140x42 feels smoother in chop.
