Mike
Today I was 15st 5lbs
5'3"
It's a great board for our english mush and wind driven waves. Purchased for medium winds, I have an old Converse for strong winds, big waves

When I was looking and deliberating what size to get I messaged the guys at firewire and they said for me the 5'3" was good, if I wanted a higher wind board, then to go smaller. Chat with them
In choppy water it can be a handful, due to it's width, as you would expect. But it manages very well in powered gusty conditions. Two days ago I was on my 7m wave and evo in winds gusting high 40's and it held ok (I should've been on the Converse). My local has an area that has nice flat sections between the waves, I hid there while it was mad gusty
The choppy end wasn't much fun
It is my go to board in winds up to 25mph, I love it and I have in quad mode

a bit off topic. I've ridden thicker boards. Then built a whole bunch really thin, 13L, and smaller , about 3" shorter of comparable board. In Scandinavian conditions where we only get waves in nuking winds, I find they are better.
But it's a bit of personal preference.
That said, almost no company is building low volume, thin boards for the kind of conditions that are at most spots in Europe.
Some of you might be fortunate to live where you have real period swell and waves, then perhaps the domed deck, 24L Surfboard is better.

Check out the SkimFin by Exile:
Pro surfer Tom Curren...
"He rode it around Santa Barbara and immediately blew minds with the speed he was carrying through the flats of the wave. He did not have to stay in the curve to retain pace, he could now play with the section out front and use the
less-than-an-inch of hard rail to knife across hundred yard flat sections. The board is just over five feet in length with a width of 20.875 inches, and 2 inches of thickness tapered down perfectly to the rails, which are sharp as a knife."
Exile: "We are not saying it is a board to ride every session, but it will definitely
add to your surfing experience while in mushier surf."

The Ocean Rodeo Jester is pretty low volume. The website says it´s 5’1” by 18” and only has 17.6 litres.
