IF you can replace 2 kites with a single aluula kite it might not be a bad deal.
e.g. if you now have a 10M single-strut kite for light wind/foiling and a 10m 3/5 strut kite for a directional/twintip which you can now replace with a single kite that performs just as good or even better....

Replacing your whole quiver with just Aluula kites makes less sense to me unless you have lots of money to throw around.

Just read this:

As we begin to gear up for the release of our ALUULA A-Series kites, we'll soon be launching our A-Series Deposit Program, a simple process where you'll be able to securely pre-book A-Series kites, guaranteeing that you'll be out on the water with a cutting edge ALUULA kite as soon as they become available.
Why a Deposit Program?
Demand for these kites has been unprecedented and we anticipate selling out of the first wave quickly. So in light of this, we'll soon be rolling out a centralized deposit system, guaranteeing your order will be fulfilled on a 'first come, first served' basis. It also means you can note your preferred Ocean Rodeo dealer (should you have one) who will take care of your order and arrange delivery with you.
That's it for now, and we'll update you with the full details soon.

OR has a reputation of excellent customer service. It's so nice of them to accept a downpayment. I wonder if they'd consider direct deposit too?

Finally, such financing scheme works already lot years in car sales and other buisness. Nothing new but nice that it appeared already in kite sales. I think more brands will choose it in future.

Okay, no problems, but make sure you stay away from an Aluula kite demo, DO NOT TRY ONE, as the realization of the improvements in kite performance may be deleterious to your finances.

I've had one of the 10m Aluula Roam demo /phase 1 kites here for about a week, been out riding it three days now, one light-wind foil sessions, one day over-powered foil, one day started windy then slowly backed off, so TT, then surfboard, then foil. In about a week, this demo kite has to move on to another location, going to be hard to go back to heavier & flexy Dacron kites. No problems here putting the money down now for Aluula kites, they are golden !

Ocean Rodeo made the 10m Roam and 14.5m Aluula demo kites to hit the surf/foil and light wind markets. 10 and 14.5m would make a good quiver for many people.

Stafford, I am a bigger guy (225 lbs.). I've been riding Flites, a 12/14.5/17, and love them. Once in a while I'm in an spot with higher winds where the 9.5 Prodigy looks pretty appealing. A thought I've been considering is the Roam 10 Aluula to replace my 12 Flite. I've ridden a Roam 10 standard build - it was nice but did not jump well for me. The Aluula Roam sounds like it is a jumper. I'm wondering if the Roam Aluula could be my high wind jumper and at some point a foil kite, once I start foiling.? You're one of the few guys that have ridden both. I'd be very interested in your thoughts.

Thanks

Digdawg,

I have thought about the same thing, can the 10m Roam take the place of a 12m Flite in my quiver. I have flown both the 10 Roam and 14.5 Flite but not back to back. I was thinking of having both as the 12m Flite would replace my foil kites and the 10m Roam would cover everything else except the truly nukin' days. But the 10m Roam and 14.5m Flite might be better for bigger guys or situations were a hydrofoil isn't a possibility.

The plan right now is still for the production kites to arrive at the end of June. However, it won't be all sizes of both models on day one. More kites will be air shipped from Asia weekly. If you want one, the only way to get one soon is to put money down. If you are not sure on size but you know you want one, still put money down as I bet we won't be the only store that will allow you to move your deposit from one size/model of Aluula to the other.

Stafford - not ready to fulfill all my Aluula dreams that soon. Just trying to understand possible combinations of kites and wanted someone's input based on their experiences with the kites, especially while the experience is relatively fresh.

Thanks!
