Reedin kite ads doubled lines

Postby GJibb » Fri Feb 21, 2020 6:29 pm

On the Reedin website there are multiple pictures where it appears Kevin has doubled lines. It’s much more noticeable on a computer rather then a phone screen

Anyways, I can’t be the only one to notice this.
It leads me to question why?

Otherwise the gear looks great in my mind and I like the guys.

Can't say that I could see that but the kite and bar look very nice to me. They seem to clearly have either purchased or copied the Ozone click in loop, and the double pu centre line and untwist function, plus super easy bar length adjustment all look well thought out to me. If I was in the market for a new kite it would be on my list. But it's too white for me! Will end up looking manky...

Agreed - they need a brown version for our manky muddy UK beaches

Could it be that they wanted to thw lines to be really easily seen in the photos, so they doubled them up in the photo shoot?

It looks like they did some focus stacking of images.
Basically you take two or more pictures with the focus point on rider and further away (on kite).
When there is plenty of light the shutter speed is high which makes two consequetive images similar but not exactly the same... if you realign the rider and kite, the lines will be off. This could be removed in photoshop but they have been a bit lazy I guess...

yes.. that!
So they failed to do a simple website..
Can you trust them with overseeing manufacturing process on some OEM Chinese factory?
Or better conspiracy theory is that Kevin does not trust those lines

Doubled flying lines wouldn't make any sense. Just some image processing issue like above posts already suggest.

Kites look very good or very ordinary 3- strut kites. To change bar length by rotating plastic parts is not the brightest invention because simpler way already exists.

Too much product placement on this forum. Social media influencers are becoming the telemarketers of the internet
