Hi Guy's
I can have for a good price new 2020 Naish Kite. Pivot / Slash or Boxer.
I look for a 12M kite. I already ride and have the 2017 Pivot and i found this kite slow and have to much pressure at the bar.
I got shoulder trouble, can't ride kite with lot of pressure.
So i am looking for Freeride and surf (part time) and Foil Bigenner.
No1, i need a kite with a very low pression on the bar and fast.
So i choice with one ?
Thk to help

I expect that the Boxer will be best low-end power, will fly in lightest winds, and will have light bar pressure... But also move the pigtails on the steering lines to the lightest bar pressure option.
The disadvantages of the boxer are that it wont be as good in highly powered/overpowered conditions, and it wont boost as high as the other kites.
My feeling is that the boxer would best meet your criteria out of those kites, and in particular for hydrofoil.

First of all. Did you try to adjust the bar pressure on your current Pivot? If you move the back lines to attachment towards the trailing edge it will make the bar pressure noticeably lighter.
Secondly, for its size the pivot is fast. Your shoulder might hinder you from cranking the bar maybe(?), but the kite is very responsive if you have some pressure on the backlines. The slash I think is similar and the boxer turns differently. Just a different technique I guess. Boxer feels different on the bar. Personally I do not think any of the kites are heavy on the bar, but the boxer is perhaps the lightest. I have not specifically tested this tho.
All the kites can be used for the things you are asking it to do. I think the slash is probably the one that is best overall...my personal preference is surf so that might explain a bit why I am saying that...but the slash I think is much easier than the pivot while foiling and it works well free riding too. Pivot is the best freeride kite tho and the boxer the best foiling kite of the batch.
Definitely try the backline attachment.

What is your weight? And what size of wing are you going to be using for foiling? If you are under 185 lbs and big wing will be your choice don't buy bigger than 11m.

This is a good point and piece of advice. I generally use a 7 slash..even in light wind with a big surf foil.

12m Boxer is a great kite: stable, light, turns well, grunty, playful. Have not tried others in this size.

Can someone comment on the bar pressure for the newer Pivot vs older versions I was also considering a Pivot 12m for boosting but I'm not a fan of high bar pressure. I read some reviews from magazine saying it was light but looks like that's not the case!

I got tennis elbow problem while kiting every day and looping. However this year with 2020 Pivots over one month of kiting two sessions per day I did not. I moved lines to rear connection points from factory middle set up. The bar pressure felt just right.
