Please stay on topic and stop this political BS!

Had to delete some replies again.

Thank you
I see that you deleted my post about the origins of the obesity epidemic. Being overweight or obese (ie with a BMI greater than 25) has recently been recognised as the most significant comorbidity when infected with Covid-19.

This is not a political issue, it is a matter of scientific fact. Everybody, including kite surfers, with a BMI over 25 should understand that in order to reduce their risk of serious illness or even death when infected with Covid-19 they should regulate their diets and avoid processed foods manufactured by the food industry.

My deleted list explained why these foods in general should be avoided, and the science behind this recommendation. Inconvenient science it seems. Plus ça change.

Fortunately I kept a copy of my post and will post it again. :D

As cases of the coronavirus are estimated to reach one million worldwide, medical professionals are bracing for the impact of a growing pandemic that’s flooding emergency rooms. While federal and local officials in the U.S. scramble for access to ventilators, experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are exploring what exactly may be sending thousands of patients to intensive care units nationwide.

In a report from the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) published Thursday, researchers conclude that Americans with diabetes, chronic lung disease and cardiovascular disease — all diseases linked to obesity — are at higher risk of experiencing a severe infection due to COVID-19.
And who is ultimately responsible for the obesity epidemic?

"Pure, White and Deadly" - John Yudkin
Amazon wrote:In 1972, when British scientist John Yudkin first proved that sugar was bad for our health, he was ignored by the majority of the medical profession and rubbished by the food industry. We should have heeded his warning.
"Fat Chance -The Hidden Truth about Sugar, Obesity and Disease" - Dr Robert Lustig
Amazon wrote:Sugar is toxic, addictive and everywhere. So what chance do you have of living sugar-free?

With busy lives and little time left for cooking we find ourselves relying on a diet of processed food. But this is what’s responsible for our chronically expanding waistlines, soaring levels of diabetes and a catalogue of diseases. Dr Robert Lustig reveals the truth about our sugar-laden food.
High fructose corn syrup widely used in foods manufactured by food companies is indirectly killing people.

‘party line’ about this pandemic? I have yet to see one medical professional who is on the front line of trying to deal with this Virus (ie the people who know the most about it in the World) who has said it is not something to be seriously worried about - if you can find me one please post it here.
These two doctors from Bakersfield, California seem to make a convincing argumemt. Sorry, it is about an hour long and you probably need to hear the whole thing in order to make any reasonable response.

One of my kiting buddies is an er nurse in St. Pete Florida. He agrees completely with the argument these two doctors make.

Note that they are not in a "hot spot." Bakersfield is about half-way in between LA and San Francisco. Yet practically all of the US has varying sorts of "stay at home" orders. These orders vary by state, not by the severity of the problem in various locations.

Very interesting interview!
My uncle (general doctor) keeps saying this since day 1.
Another uncle, infected by Corona, barely had symptoms...he is a cab driver, so has lots of contacts with people, therefore his immune system is stronger.

How in the wold is that fake news?

You yourself
Post little clips of Biden mumbling or tripping on his words as evidence he’s unfit for the job, even though he didn’t actually say anything. How is this any different? Well I guess there is the fact It’s not specifically edited or taken out of context! And there is the fact we are judging him on actual expressed thought, and not simply him tripping on words.

I read your epoch article and yes the first long bit is someone who knows what their talking about. But even they can’t cover the bare fact that Trumps comments at the end expose him plainly as simply dumb as fu*k.

I am old enough to remember Trump was accused of making people drink fish tank cleaner. Now it’s Lysol.
Do the media really believe their audience to be that stupid? Apparently they are.

The audience can simply watch the man and judge for themselves. You trying to paint this as something other than it plainly is exposes you for the propaganda shit poster you are.

Sorry, that was just a bit of sarcasm, I actually really respect you.
