The article is imo correct but it does not consider a crucial point. If X% of the population, old and arleady ill, need emergency unit care, the national health normally just don’t have so many artificial respirator fitted beds. At that point, you have to choose who has the right to access to the respirator: the younger? The one with the best chances to survive? And what are you doing with the others? You just let them die? The reason for the Loco down is to dilute the acesses to the hospital of the serious cases so that almost everyone can hope to survive

Well.. it is like global warning (or flat-earthers? ok, I may have gone too far on this one :) ... ) : you'll always find people stating that no, that is a conspiracy, this is the job of someone looking for attention (well, in the case of anti-vacs, it is true)...
I understand what he's saying, but then, why all these tired doctors, nurses that have to make hard decisions in Italia? Because again, compared to influenza, the hospitalization rate is way higher...
He explains that yeah, mortality rate is high because the tested base are only the sick people in hospital, yeah ok, but again this is focusing on the wrong issue.

I can follow his argumentation until he starts to talk about conspiracies. Obviously he could be correct, but the same argument could just be used back at him then. He is just saying somewhat the opposite of many other experts because he knows he will then get attention for it. So that part is rather pointless.

As for the rest of it. I hope he is correct. To me there is a fair chance that mortality rates are far far lower than what we currently think because so many that do not know it are or have already been infected. Meaning heard immunity will become a real thing much quicker than the same experts first thought and that the real mortality rate is more "acceptable" (or at least comparable to the flu). That doesn't really add up though as still most people are negative when tested, but one can only pray that is because of the testing procedures.

So in the end I am not sure what his point is. Really hope he is closer to the truth than the Norwegian doctor saying 1.5m dead in Britain etc. would be quite realistic. She didn't seem emotionally stable though - if that is because she had lost control of the scope of things or is actually correct only time will tell.

Worst case scenario is millions of deaths in some countries. Only hope is the virus is a lot more widespread than we think and most people only have a mild case, and we are only seeing the tip of a much bigger iceberg with the people dying and in ICU - in one month we will know. I hope things like the doctor in his 30s who first raised the alarm about this virus having died from it are purely coincidence. Stay safe everyone.

We also need to make plans for the inevitable baby boom that will to arise in about 9-10 months.

The "Qurantinies" will probably rise up and take over the world in about 30 years time!!!!

Would be interesting to hear an update from Wodarg after almost 500 have died in one day just in Italy.

Schools closed in the UK on Friday afternoon "until further notice". In other words, indefinitely.
