Everyone is at risk, even if you heal after having it.
You can take it back and redo several sick days.
As long as there is no vaccine, the virus continues.
Staying at home, only prevents its spread and infected other people.
A virus that takes more than 4-5 days before knowing that you are infected,
it's new.
And no rapid testing

You'll get your wish foilholio, thats my guess anyhow.
I hope so....more than 2 months of this is just crazy. World needs to get on with it. You don't want this to escalate. World wars make viruses look like pleasure cruises.

Well those at risk stay home, let everyone else live their lives. It is a completely fucked up society where a small minority gets to control everyone else.

Viruses aren't smart, it's just our leaders are stupid.
Everyone is at risk if you let the virus run. The overloaded hospitals would not be able to deal with you if you had a kite injury, car accident or another incident that required hospital treatment. That could mean death or permanent damage from a relatively minor incident. If you know Murphy's law you'd know that even after 10 years of kiting without incident, the time you are accidentally hit by another out of control foiler and have an artery cut, you'll die of blood loss on the beach waiting for an ambulance because they're all busy with COVID19 cases :(

In Australia we have had some extreme isolation measures taken and are now seeing the number of new cases stabilise and hopefully start to decline. Get in early and isolate hard seems tp be the method to shorten the worst of the pandemic. Of course it also helps to be a resident in a regional community near a good kite beach too :)
Maybe after this virus situation has calmed down we'll see kiters choosing to relocate where the kiting is good and not in densely packed urban areas?

and that is the risk worth taking. If there is no risk involved in climbing Everest, no one would do it. If the avalanche happens, it happens. They do not say do not climb because the avalanche might happen and the hospital will be overhauled, do they. Sure they did/might, but it still happens. It's called life.

I've been in the war during 90-ties. The hospitals *were* overhauled by injured people but others still continued life as usual. Bad luck if you get injured and die. Bad luck if the sniper hits or rocket propelled granate finds a way through. After a while, ppl did not even notice a sniper shots b/c we knew that if you hear it, its all good. After some time ppl do not go to funerals as well, to many to attend. Or a sniper might target that on purpose. This virus situation is very much like it. We are moving target no matter what.

Or, we live in fear and in basements. Which is good for some but slow dying for others. We use to play Monopoly all night, but get out for a cig/leak and that's when it gets you.

20 000 people died in France 2010 from swine flu. No one even blinked around the world.
~~~
People of Australia will flock in huge numbers all over the place this Easter. It's a big continent, why not...The fact is that EVERYTHING is tracked in this country, from the moment boarding the plane, till exit. Which is impossible in so many states. Cash is a king in so many economies, not in here. Again good for protecting against pandemic, not so good for privacy. But hey, ppl would rather be safe and pay with a c/c so let them. I use cash if/when possible. My eating habits are only me concern ;)
Sorry Downunder, that’s simply not true.
Less than 300 deaths in France due to the swine flu during that winter 2009-2010
There is no ban to climb the Everest, unless you don’t get the agreement from Nepalese authorities.
Happens sometimes, and nobody is feeling proud of it, especially when shit happens. Some years ago, a non authorized crew got involved in an accident, killing manies, and it put discredit on the whole climber community.
Then you can do it legally, and it is still very risky, making it worth probably, but also permitting an industrie to run, flooding a country with devises.
What about not using your cell phone too?
In Italy and France, authorities were able to acknowledge the fact that many people had moved to their vacation houses, despite the ban, spreading the virus farther and faster than expected. And that by tracking cell phones.
The way I see it:
There is a ban at your beach, in your area: don’t go kiting
There is no ban: go kite if you like
If you go kiting during the ban, think about the whole figure. It doesn’t only concern you, but the kitersurfer community.
You can make us appear irresponsible, irrespective, and that will play a big role next time we have to negotiate the access to our beaches during summer time.
I don’t want to be pointed out like that guy acting like he doesn’t care.
Let’s keep talking on the other Corona topic so we limit it to one only.
