Hi, here is some serious technical and style advice for you to consider once you get out on the beaches again.

Some lockdown advice that doesnt involve yoga.

Is that an 82 Katana?! The first real hardcore superbike. My buddies brother had one when we were teenagers. We used to go into the garage and drool on it
when he wasn't around. That bike got me hooked on streetbikes. Would love to find one in good condition.

Cheers, Bob

^^ That's a relief.

PS Did you know that the bore of a typical pump is ~10 sq in. Therefore neglecting friction you need 80 lbs of force on the shaft to create 8psi. I am so looking forward to having a good pump. Wish I had my old Norton to play with as well, nice garage!! It is a bit like the old bull and the young at the top of the hill. The young bull says to the old bull "let's run down the hill to the yard and fu%k a cow.". The old bull says "Nah, let's walk down and fu%k em all."
I have never been a huge addict to forums until now! These gems I will use in most of my conversations from now on. Thanks Herman!

HI Bob, it is the 83 750cc version, not the 1100 monster. It still doesnt go round corners very well! I had one when I was 26 back in 1996 that I rode with all my possessions from Scotland to set up a new life in Barcelona. I had my 2 pairs of jeans and my 4 Flexifoils on the back. It rained from Edinburgh to Perpignan.

Some guy stole my bike in Barcelona and I never saw it again. I searched for a project for a few years until I found this one. It was a big project in the end. Hope you find one, they are so amazing to ride. If you can find one, get the little Yoshimura exhaust from that period for the best sound track ever.

Just about done updating my parametric design engine, now stressing about all the tiny details in the actual kite:

If anyone is interested I've shared the 3D model here:

(YES, my side line/hobby/escape from working in the kite industry is designing kites - I could be someones case study...)

Wow, extensive reno on that bike. Nice job Hannay! The 1100 would be amazing to find, horrible in the corners but get her going in a straight line and look out.
Another friend had an 82 GS 1100 in college, rode that one a lot. So fun to smoke every 5.0 on the road. Good memories.

DK, here the challenge for you:

A 18-20 sqm Tube kite that performances like a foil.

Would love to get into that Toby, only problem is testing in Cape Town would be very limited...

Why?
Biggest kite I own/use here is a 12m, and 80% of the time I'm powered on a 9m or less. Hong Kong or NZ would be a much more ideal location for that sort of development.

Just checked the forecast...looks perfect !

Just take a smaller TT and rock the place (no unhooking)

😉
