Thanks! Some people (including me) are getting better battery life with Glance watch face than with stock ones :D
For me it is on par in energy consumption with Garmin's native analogue clock WF with moving seconds hand. I am getting 5-6% daily with native static and 7-8% with Glance or native analogue clock.
Thank you for the good job Aleks! :thumb:

Alex,

Here's 2 pictures of your watch face, the top one is showing the Woo app
Thanks Mike. You can see the design similarities :D ! Well, it is hard to beat the efficiency of this layout - since Glance Watch Face was published, it became one of the most downloaded apps for Garmin - close to 200K (will probably hit 200K tomorrow) in under 3 moths 8) .

If you didn't see it yet, I recently published 2 more apps:
Glance Pro - same as Glance, but with custom fonts and Open Weather options:
https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/ac4b ... a52614ab2b

Glance More Universal Widget - it is a widget that acts as watch face extensions, so you can put a lot more data in it (something that didn't fit on the watch face) plus some graphs and more extended weather info:
https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/2d1a ... b643d1f2d7

Give it a try :thumb:

Hi Alex, just quick question about Glance WF on F6 - I am using pretty clean and simple layout:
- Top Arc Bar - active minutes per week goal
- date | week number
- TIME
- sunrise/sunset | altitude
- notification count
- BT connection status icon

Could any of the above data fields be a reason for not optimal energy consumption I experience? The native WF I frequent is lacking TopArcBar and BT status.

There are no metrics that would cause significantly more battery usage. You can disable "Seconds always on" and "Heart rate always on" to get a better battery life.

The biggest battery drain on the F6 is probably pulse ox, disable that and you should get double the battery live in most cases.

That is a system setting - not related to the app.

Hi Aleks
So now that Garmin have released Fenix 7 and Epix 2,which model would you recommend for kiteboarding?
Fenix / Epix
Sapphire vs Gorilla
Solar vs non
47 vs 52
Etc
One watch to rule them all?

I have not tried the new models yet, but I personally preffer Fenix over Epix. I love Memoryin-Pixel displays they are clearly visible during kiting, don't turn off, and battery life is amazing. Everything else is a personal preference. I would go for Fenix 7X Sapfire (which is Solar too as I understand).

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you Aleks, for your work and advice.
I recently joined the club and bought a deeply discounted Fenix 6 Pro Sapphire and a WOO.
Seamless connection and love being able to view jump height immediately.
Also love the Glance Face too!

Thanks Steve! Please leave a review in Garmin IQ store for all apps that you like. Reviews help a lot to improve app visibility :D .

Speaking of the apps. I recently published an update for both, "Kite WOO+GPS" and "Kite GPS" apps. Now Garmin Instinct 2 / 2s watches are supported :thumb: . The app required a bit of a rewrite due to an irregular screen in the Instinct 2. Now it is out and works great though - I tested it on the water myself :D . Here are the links to the apps:

https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/fc9b ... e6d5a2bbb2

For people who use Garmin's native "Kiteboard" activity. My "MAX speed for last # of sec" data field was updated too - now it supports all the latest watch models:
https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/3477 ... 9092a86184

Big update to the Glance Pro watch face app as well. Now Body Battery and Stress Level are supported (on limited number of watch models, see FAQ in app description):
